In 2023, the California Legislature passed, and the Governor approved two pieces of legislation: the Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act (SB 253, Wiener), and the Climate-related Financial Risk Reporting Program (SB 261, Stern).
In 2024, SB 219 (Wiener) amended both the California Corporate Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reporting and Climate Related Financial Risk Disclosure Programs, extending certain deadlines and making other administrative modifications.
